Create a game that lasts for at least 15 minutes and can be used as a portfolio piece
Research
-
Researched other 3D platformers, especially ones with cartoonish tone or with cleaning mechanics
-
Analyzed playtests over the course of gameplay development, and summarized actionable feedback for team
Design
-
Formulated game systems through discussion with 3 fellow designers to solidify creative vision for game and create a Game Design Document
-
Created sandbox test levels with maximum character movement measurements for level designers to reference
-
Created quick prototypes for designed obstacles, such as rising water or strong winds
Execution
-
Refined player character controls such as character movement speed and water gun range using the Blueprint system in the Unreal Engine and feedback from playtests
-
